How to Qualify for the Korea Job Hiring

To qualify, all you need to do is to pass the EPS-TOPIK TEST and SKILLS AND COMPETENCY TEST which is given by the POEA. EPS-TOPIK stands for Employment Permit System- Test of Proficiency in Korean which is a Korean Language Test. If you passed the said test, then your names are qualified for the selection by different Korean employers.

Aspirant OFWs need to register first at the Employment Permit System at POEA website to schedule for the test. There will be two rounds of the test. You must pass the first round of test, the EPS-TOPIK, in order for you to take the second round of test which are SKILLS AND COMPETENCY TEST.

Results of both test will be added and will be the basis for their recruitment. As for the COMPETENCY TEST, candidates who are inexperienced and don’t have any certificates or training will not need to submit any documents. But still it is a must for all the candidates to take the SKILLS TEST. By chance, you fail to attend the Skills Test, you will be eliminated from the roster.

Who are the eligible to apply EPS-TOPIK?

You are qualified to apply EPS-TOPIK if you are between 18 to 37 years old and with no criminal record that is punishable by imprisonment.  You must have no records of deportation or departure orders from Republic of Korea and not is subjective to travel ban in the Philippines. Applicants must also fulfill the eligibility requirement decided by both country (Philippines and Republic of Korea).
