2018 LIST OF PHILIPPINE HOLIDAYS

The Malacanang Palace released last week the list of holidays for the year 2018. Under Proclamation No.269, two non-working holidays are added to the list, November 2, to provide more time for the traditional celebration of All Saint’s Day and All Souls’s Day and December 24, to fortify family ties and promote domestic tourism as well.

The Labor Code of the Philippines designates two types of holidays with different computation of daily rates of the employee. For those who prefer to work during REGULAR HOLIDAY should be paid 200 percent of the sum of their basic daily salary rate while employees who work on SPECIAL NON-WORKING DAY are paid at least 130 percent of their basic daily salary.

The proclamation of Eid’l Fitr 2018 and Eid ul Adha 2018 will be issued when the Islamic holiday will be determined in accordance with Islamic calendar. These two Muslim religious holidays will be declared under separates proclamation by Malacañang. Maybe it will be announced on early June 2018.

Now that you know the complete list of holidays, you may start plan your get away and watch out the promos fares that accords with the regular and non-working holidays.
